1 Corinthians 1:1-3

Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, to the church of God that is in Corinth, to you who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be holy, with all those everywhere who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

 Steps to become a Saint!

• Servant of God - Bishop typically opens investigation into the virtues of an individual

• Declaration 'Non Cultus' - body is exhumed and relics are taken no public religious veneration is allowed

• Venerable - after information is gathered a recommendation to the Pope is made that the individual's virtues are heroic

• Blessed - individual is declared by the church 'Beatified" and worthy of veneration

• Saint - official title/recognition through process of "Canonization" in which an individual is declared to be in heaven and worthy of public religious veneration
