Steps to become a Saint!

• Servant of God - Bishop typically opens investigation into the virtues of an individual

• Declaration 'Non Cultus' - body is exhumed and relics are taken no public religious veneration is allowed

• Venerable - after information is gathered a recommendation to the Pope is made that the individual's virtues are heroic

• Blessed - individual is declared by the church 'Beatified" and worthy of veneration

• Saint - official title/recognition (canonization) given to an individual declared to be in heaven and worthy of public religious veneration
